Wednesday vs. Charlotte: The all-time series between the Sixers and Bobcats is tied at nine, but Philly is 7-2 at home vs. Charlotte… three of the four meetings last season were decided by six or fewer points… the Sixers averaged just 11.5 turnovers vs. the Bobcats in 2008-09 while Charlotte averaged 17.8 tpg.

Friday vs. Memphis: The Sixers have swept the past two season series vs. the Grizzlies and have won seven of the last eight meetings… over the past six matchups, Philly has averaged 103.5 points… the Sixers had more steals than turnovers in the two games against the Grizzlies last season while Memphis had more turnovers than assists.

Saturday at Cleveland: In the 2008-09 regular season finale, Philly won in overtime at Cleveland, handing the Cavaliers just their second home loss of the season… Andre Iguodala averaged 23.3 points on 61.5% shooting against the Cavaliers last season while Lou Williams added 19.3 ppg on 52.8% shooting.

Team Notes

·Following consecutive home games vs. Charlotte on Wednesday and vs. Memphis on Friday, the Sixers will play seven of their next eight games on the road before returning home for a season-long five-game home stand from 12/7-12/16.

·Philly is shooting 46.9% from the floor this season, up from 45.9% in 2008-09... the Sixers have not shot better than 46.0% for a season since 1991-92 (47.1%)… over the past three games, opponents are shooting 45.5% from the floor after shooting 48.9% the first seven games of the season.

· Since allowing 100+ points in three of the first four games of the season (109.5 ppg), Philly has given up 100+ points just twice over the past six games (97.7 ppg)… the Sixers are 3-2 when holding opponents below 100 points this season (31-17 in 2008-09).

· The Sixers hit 7 3-pointers at Chicago on 11/14 after not having more than 5 3FGM in any of the four games prior… it marked Philly’s fourth game having as many or more 3FGM as the opposition this season (2-2 mark; 17-7 in 2008-09)… the Sixers have hit 7+ 3FGM three times this season after doing so 12 times in 2008-09.

· Over the past six games, opponents are averaging just 5.7 3-pointers made after averaging 12.8 3FGM the first four games of the season… in wins, Philly has held opponents to 30.4% shooting from behind-the-arc compared to 50.0% in losses.

· The Sixers had 10 steals at Chicago on 11/14 after having a total of 11 steals the two games prior… Philly is averaging 8.30 spg this season after ranking fourth in the league with 8.02 spg in 2008-09.

MO NO! On Sunday it was announced that Sixers sixth man Marreese Speights suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee and would miss the next six to eight weeks. Speights is averaging 13.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.90 blocks in 23.4 minutes per game this season while shooting 60.5% from the floor and 81.3% from the line. He scored 20+ points three times this season after doing so once as a rookie in 2008-09. Speights is also averaging 17.2 points on 70.0% shooting on the road this season.

Player Notes

· Andre Iguodala scored 24 points at Chicago on 11/14 after scoring a total of 20 points the two games prior… he has scored 20+ points four times this season and is averaging 18.4 points on 48.0% shooting… Iguodala did not record his first 20-point effort until 18 games into 2008-09 and averaged 13.0 ppg on 39.8% shooting the first 17 games.

· Lou Williams had 20 points at Chicago on 11/14 after averaging 9.8 ppg the four games prior… it marked his second 20-point game of the season… Williams is averaging 14.5 ppg on 45.8% shooting this season after averaging 12.8 ppg on 39.8% shooting in 2008-09… he still has more steals than turnovers this season and owns an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.33… Williams has recorded at least four assists in all but one game.

· Over the past four games, Thaddeus Young is averaging 17.0 points on 51.0% shooting after averaging 9.7 ppg on 28.9% shooting the three games prior… Young is averaging 16.5 ppg on 51.0% shooting in wins this season… the Sixers are 2-0 when he scores 20+ points this season after going 13-7 in 2008-09… Young has also recorded 3+ assists six times this season after doing so eight time in all of 2008-09.

· Samuel Dalembert had a season-high tying 12 rebounds at Chicago on 11/14, including 5 offensive… he did not have more than 2 offensive boards the first nine games of the season after averaging 2.6 orpg in 2008-09… Dalembert also has 9 blocks over the past three games and is averaging a team-high 1.80 bpg this season… Dalembert averaged just 1.27 bpg the first 26 games of 2008-09 (2.02 bpg over the final 56 games).

· Royal Ivey is shooting 61.5% from the floor this season… he shot 33.2% in 2008-09 and was a career 40.6% shooter entering 2009-10.
