76ers announce 2009-10 TV schedule with CSN airing 71 games in HD

Philadelphia, Pa. – September 17, 2009 – The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that all 82 regular season games will air regionally, with Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia tipping off its 71 game schedule against Orlando on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Additionally, The Comcast Network will carry 10 regular season road games. The Sixers close out the calendar year with a nationally televised game on TNT, when they travel to Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve to take on Elton Brand’s old team, the Clippers. “We are happy to provide a schedule that allows our regular season games to be televised locally thanks to our wonderful relationship with Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and The Comcast Network,” said Sixers Senior Vice President of Business Operations Lara Price. “We think the addition of new analyst Ed Pinckney to the broadcast will enhance the coverage of an already exciting team that features Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young, Lou Williams and the return of Elton Brand.”

In addition, Comcast Sportsnet will give a sneak peek to its season long coverage by broadcasting the Sixers next-to-last preseason game against Head Coach Eddie Jordan’s former team, the Washington Wizards, on Oct. 20th. The Comcast Network is host to 10 Sixers road contests, highlighted by games at Cleveland on Nov. 21st and at Boston on Nov. 25th.

Comcast SportsNet, in addition to broadcasting every home and road game in high definition, will air “Sixers Pregame Live” before every primetime weekday game and “Sixers Postgame Live” immediately after every game.

The Sixers will also be featured nationally in eight additional games, one coming at home on ESPN against the Detroit Pistons on Dec. 9th and seven more appearances on NBATV. All eight of those games will be available locally on Comcast SportsNet.
