Zoo recalls the game: This would be the second of two-straight years in which the Charles Barkley-led 76ers would be eliminated by Michael Jordan and Chicago. It would end up in the first of six Chicago title runs in the 90s, but not before the Sixers eked out a last-second win. With the Sixers down one in the closing seconds, the ball predictably was in Barkleys hands, and he began a head-down drive to the hoop. Everyone was expecting a shot, but Charles dealt a last second look to Hersey Hawkins planted in the right corner, beyond the three-point arc. Hawkins hit the three in the closing moments to seal what would be the 76ers last playoff win in Philadelphia until Box Score |
