Class is now in session 76ers fans. Over the "course" of the Playoffs, Sixers TV broadcaster Marc Zumoff will give you an inside look at the 76ers 2003 Playoffs run from his educated view point. The first part of the curriculum in his "Zoo-ology" series is a 14-step history lesson as Professor Zumoff reminisces about his favorite 76ers Playoff memories. Take careful notes ... there might be a pop quiz in the near future. |

Zoo recalls the game: Sixers fans would probably point to the title-clinching Game four in Los Angeles as obviously most memorable contest of the series (Julius Ervings crunch time burst, Maurice Cheeks celebratory dunk). But I point to this game for one moment and one moment only. During a particular run in the game, reserve center Earl Cureton, strictly a defender and rebounder in his role with the team, hit a hook shot over the master of the skyhook, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. It came during a particular point in the game, with the Sixers on a run and the stars in the sky aligned just right. As the ball hit net the crowd lit into an absolute frenzy. Its the loudest Id ever heard the masses at the old Spectrum. Box Score |
