Marc Zumoff's Playoff Memories

April 15,1965
Eastern Division Finals - Game 7 vs Boston
"It's all over"

Zoo recalls the game:

“He fouled him Daddy! He fouled him…!”

My earliest playoff memory. I was a nine-year old
sitting in the kitchen of our twin home in the
Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia. A
13-inch Amana TV carried the bleak, black and
white image. Hal Greer’s pass to Chet Walker was
stolen by the Celtic’s John Havlicek, securing a
one-point win in a deafening Boston Garden. Later
generations have heard the late Johnny Mosts’s
now infamous call of the play with his incessant,
“it’s all over…it’s all over…it’s…all…over…!”

I cried myself to sleep.
