I wonder if the electical plug I pulled out under the stands at the Palace of Auburn Hills to plug in my laptop had anything to with the lights going out in Game 1, huh ... anyhow, I once again managed to sneak down to New Orleans for the First Round and then onto Detroit on the team plane, so everyone could get an inside look at the 76ers in the Big Easy and the Motor City. Of course I brought my camera along, too...


  • BAM! … the pork chops were the house specialty at Emeril's Restaurant in the Warehouse District, where Billy King took the whole coaching staff for dinner on Sunday night before the team's Game Four win. Always the connoisseur, BK selected a few bottles of Penfolds Shiraz to go with the chops. A win is a win, so the superstitious crew returned before Game 6. Talk about kicking it up a notch, this time, Emeril himself was in the house and, as he said, "took everyone for a ride." The food was delicious, even the dessert which was a cherry cheesecake. Unfortunately, Spy Guy passed on that - 1700 calories a slice is way over my limit …
