On the injury
“I have been through x-rays and scans. Things came out with a good result. It is good and bad. The good is that the tests came back negative, but there still is a great deal of tendinitis and swelling that is causing the pain and discomfort.”

On the treatment he has been doing for the injury
“We have done about every gimmick and treatment possible. Unfortunately, with the kind of injury (that it is), the best remedy is rest, which I don’t have time to do.”

On what aggravated the injury
“It has been a gradual thing, just wear and tear. About 10 days ago, it had been sore. In the last game versus New Orleans, that was the first time it actually hurt during the game. Usually it hurt just after the game. But on Tuesday, after that 20-minute delay, it stiffened up. As the game went on it just got worse.”

Status for tonight
“Game-time decision is a safe bet. I haven’t tried to run or do anything. If I go out there and I can’t run or cut, there are other guys on this team that can step up. Coach wants us to pressure this team, pick up our intensity and force turnovers. That’s the way we need to play. If I can’t play at that level, I am hurting the team, and it is up to me to decide not to play and let other guys step in at that point.”
