Allen Iverson finished Game 4 with 36 points and 11 assists for his sixth career double-double (4 points-assists, 1 points-steals, 1 points-rebounds). With his 11 assists, Allen Iverson became the first 76er to record double-figure assists in consecutive games since Johnny Dawkins did so in the First Round of the 1990 Playoffs against Cleveland. Iverson, finished Game 3 with 11 assists.

Through 10 playoff games, Iverson is averaging 7.1 assists per game. In the four games against Detroit, Iverson is averaging 29.8 points per game and 9.3 assists, after averaging 34.8 points per game and 5.7 assists in the First Round. Iverson has now scored 20 or more points in 22-straight playoff games and has scored at least 13 points in all 55 playoff appearances.

Detroit’s 32 points in the first half is the lowest point total in a half since a 1999 First Round game when Philadelphia held Orlando to 31 points. The Sixers went on to win the game against the Magic, 97-85.

In the 1955 NBA Finals, the Syracuse Nationals, who moved to Philadelphia in 1963-64 to become the 76ers, played the Fort Wayne Pistons. Including this year’s Eastern Conference Semifinals, the home team has won every meeting.

For the 40th time in franchise playoff history, the Sixers played in back-to-back playoff games, the first time since the 1985 Eastern Conference Finals when the Sixers hosted Boston. The Sixers have played back-to-back playoff games with a 24-16 record in the first game and a 24-16 record in game two.

Philadelphia was 2-8 from three-point range in Game 4, as the Sixers extended their playoff streak to 57-straight games with at least one three-point field goal, dating back to the 1991 Playoffs. The last time Philadelphia did not have a three-pointer in a playoff game was on May 12, 1991 against Chicago when the Sixers were 0-3 from long-range. Keith Van Horn has made at least one three-point field goal in 12-straight games.

Derrick Coleman (14 points, 15 rebounds) finished with his second double-double of the Eastern Conference Semifinal series against Detroit. After averaging 10.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in the First Round against New Orleans, Coleman has significantly improved by averaging 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds against Detroit.

Aaron McKie finished with 12 points, the fourth time during the 2003 Playoffs that the Sixer reserve has scored in double-digits (3-1). McKie is averaging 7.8 points per game.

Philadelphia connected on 52.1 percent (37-71 FG) from the floor in Game 4, its best shooting performance since Game 5 of the 2001 Eastern Conference Semifinals against Toronto, when the Sixers shot 60.3 percent (47-78 FG).

For the second-straight game the Sixers starting frontcourt (Keith Van Horn, Kenny Thomas, Derrick Coleman) outscored Detroit’s (Michael Curry, Ben Wallace, Clifford Robinson) starting frontcourt, 34-14. The Sixers starting frontcourt combined to outscore the Detroit starting frontcourt, 76-24, in their two wins in Philadelphia (42-10 in Game 3).

Philadelphia improved to 18-11 in playoffs at the First Union Center.

Philadelphia tied a 2003 Playoff high with 13 steals in Game 4. The Sixers also had 13 steals in Game 4 of their First Round game against New Orleans.

The Sixers eight turnovers are the lowest since Philadelphia had six turnovers in Game 7 of the 2001 Eastern Conference Finals against Milwaukee.
