NBA Draft 2003 - Sixers Acquire Rights to Kyle Korver


  • Sixers Obtain Rights to Willie Green

    Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King announced that the Sixers have acquired the rights to Creighton University product Kyle Korver, the 51st overall selection in the 2003 NBA Draft, from the New Jersey Nets for an undisclosed amount of cash.

    Korver, a 6-foot-7 forward known for his long-range shooting ability, owns the school-record and Missouri Valley Conference record with 371 career three-pointers and averaged 14.1 points per game during his four-year collegiate career. The 371 three’s are tied for sixth in NCAA history. A Second Team All-America selection by The Associated Press as a senior, he finished second in the nation in three-point field goal percentage (45.3 percent) and ninth nationally in free throw percentage (90.8 percent).
