Strengths:

Is one of the most physically gifted players in this year's class… Stands 6'5" and has a great 6'11.25" wingspan, which he utilizes on the defensive end, altering shots and deflecting passes on the perimeter… Is a great finisher on the break, using his outstanding athleticism, straight-line speed, and length to get to the rim quickly and finish in traffic… Has a relentless motor and wears out his man on both ends of the floor… Is a great rebounder for his position and size – he averaged 9.4 rebounds per game as a Junior… Is a solid playmaker, and averaged 3.3 assists per game last season… Got to the line with regularity (6.8 FTA/g) and converted his free throws at a 79.0% clip… Shot 47.8% on his two-point attempts in 2012-13.

Weaknesses:

Jump shooting is the area in which Franklin needs the most improvement… Shot just 27.9% from long range as a Junior, despite attempting almost 40% of his shots from that distance (4.6 3PA/g, 12.3 FGA/g)… Midrange game is a work in progress, as well… Turned the ball over 3.4 times per game last season and can be careless at times, despite solid playmaking skills… Not a great ball-handler and is not much of a threat in isolation or in the post… Offensive game is limited to hustle buckets, cuts, and occasional bull rushes against smaller defenders… It can be said that he is a jack of all trades, but a master of none.
