A little less than half a year ago, the Sixers began the 2013-14 season with a bang, defeating the defending champion Miami Heat 114-110 on opening night. In a fitting end to the year, Philadelphia bested the Heat 100-87 in Wednesday’s season finale in Miami. 

The Sixers finished the season with a 19-63 record, winning four of their last 10 after a stretch of 26 straight losses in February and March. Against the Heat, they were 2-1 on the year, notching their first season series victory over Miami since 2007-08. 

Thaddeus Young led the way for Philadelphia with 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting to go along with nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Michael Carter-Williams finished with 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists, Henry Sims has 10 points, seven rebounds, and three helpers, and Casper Ware had 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
