Forced to play shorthanded following multiple trades on deadline day the day prior, the eight available members of the Sixers fought hard and kept the game close throughout. In the end, the veteran Mavericks were too much for the young Sixers to handle, as they fell 124-112.

Thaddeus Young filled the stat sheet with 30 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and seven steals, becoming the only player other than Hakeem Olajuwon to hit those totals. Michael Carter-Williams added 25 points, six assists, and five rebounds, and Tony Wroten came off the bench to score 21 points on 14 shot attempts.

The Sixers have the weekend off, but return to action Monday against the Bucks.
