It’s a quick turnaround for the Sixers (12-22), who took on the Timberwolves Monday night at Wells Fargo Center and traveled overnight to Cleveland for a Tuesday meeting with the 11-23 Cavaliers. The teams are 1-1 against one another this season.

Scouting the Cavs
Wheeling and Dealing
Early Tuesday morning, Cleveland finalized a trade with the Chicago Bulls, acquiring All-Star small forward Luol Deng. It’s uncertain whether or not Deng will be in uniform against the Sixers, but when he does make his debut, Cleveland’s starting unit will be bolstered by his 19.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

Kyrie Irving Questionable
All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving has missed Cleveland’s last three games with a bruised left knee and is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game. Without Irving, who leads the Cavaliers in scoring (22.2 PPG), Cleveland has averaged just 82.3 points per game on 35.0% shooting.

Philly Connection
Dion Waiters, a Philadelphia native and former Syracuse teammate of Sixers rookie Michael Carter-Williams, has played some of his best basketball this season against his former hometown team. In two meetings between the Cavaliers and Sixers earlier this season, Waiters averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
