MINNEAPOLIS –– Twenty-two games into the 2013-14 season, the Sixers have had just two multi-game road trips. Over the next month, though, nine of the Sixers’ next 11 games will come on the road, with the only two at home coming this Saturday vs. Portland and on the 20th of this month against the Brooklyn Nets.

The extended road stretch begins Wednesday against the Timberwolves in Minnesota, where the Sixers look to notch their first win since 2011.

Scouting The Wolves
Lovely Production
After appearing in just 18 games last season, Kevin Love has returned with a vengeance. Through 19 games in 2013-14, he’s averaging 23.8 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. The sixth-year power forward has failed to notch double-digit rebounds just once this season, pulling down eight to go along with 33 points and six assists in a 29-point win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on November 13.

Extra Looks
Despite ranking 27th in field goal percentage (42.6%), the Timberwolves average the third-most points per game in the league (105.5). How is this possible? They create extra shot opportunities.

On the season, Minnesota ranks second in the NBA in offensive pace (just behind the Sixers) and third in offensive rebounding (the Sixers rank eighth). Unsurprisingly, the Wolves and Sixers rank first and second, respectively, in shot attempts per game. The two teams teams have scored 100 points in 27 of their combined 43 games this season.

MCW Makes Trip; Won't Play vs. Minnesota
Rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams has missed the Sixers’ last three games with right knee soreness. Wednesday, he'll miss his fourth. Carter-Williams is with the team on their current two-game trip (@MIN and @TOR) and is officially listed as day-to-day.
