Home, Sweet Home
Monday night’s meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers (13-8) marks the Sixers’ (7-14) final home game before a stretch of nine road contests over their next 11 games. The Clippers know the pains of playing on the road well – Monday’s game is the fourth of a seven-game east coast road swing. L.A. is 1-2 on the trip and 5-6 on the road this season. Six of the Sixers’ seven wins this season have come at home.
Michael Carter-Williams (right knee soreness caused by a skin infection) has been released from Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was under the care of Head Team Physician Dr. Brian Sennett and Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Neil Fishman. He is listed as day-to-day.
Wroten Thriving as Starter
In six games as a starter this season, second-year guard Tony Wroten has averaged 19.8 points (44.6 FG%), 5.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds. With Michael Carter-Williams (right knee soreness) out of the lineup for the Sixers’ last two games, Wroten contributed a combined 41 points (20-42 FGM-A), 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. If Carter-Williams cannot play Monday night, Wroten is expected to once again start in his place.
Dollar Dog Night!
Tonight marks the second Dollar Dog Night of the season and the first of two this month (the other will be vs. Brooklyn on December 20).
