For the second time in six days, the Sixers (6-12) and Magic (6-10) face one another, this time at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Matchup to Watch
Guard Michael Carter Williams vs. Guard Victor Oladipo

Last week’s meeting between the Sixers and Magic was the first ever between rookie standouts Michael Carter-Williams and Victor Oladipo. Throughout much of the game, the two 2013 first-round picks were assigned to one another defensively, and both looked to put their stamp on the game early. Through the first quarter, the two led their teams with 10 points apiece, and while their hot hands eventually cooled as the game progressed, both continued to impact the game in a number of ways. Carter-Williams finished with 23 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals, and Oladipo added 18 points, five assists, three rebounds, and five steals.

Carter-Williams leads all rookies in points (17.0), assists (7.1), rebounds (5.4), and steals (3.1) per game, while Oladipo is second among rookies in points (13.2), third in assists (3.4), sixth in rebounds (4.1), and second in steals (1.6) per game.

Trending Topic: Coming Back Strong

After missing three games due to personal reasons, forward Thaddeus Young has averaged 21.7 points (51.1 FG%) and 8.3 rebounds (4.3 offensive) over the Sixers’ last three games. Two of his four 20-point outings have come during that time.

Trending Topic: The Long and Winding Road

Tuesday’s game is the second of a six-game road trip for the Magic that began with a 98-80 loss to the Wizards Monday night in Washington. Orlando is 1-6 on the road this season and 1-3 on the tail end of back to backs.
