Allen Iverson’s Top 10 Moments
In the nine years since Allen Iverson joined the 76ers, there have been so many memorable moments it was hard to pick out just 10 of Iverson's best. But we did. The 76ers staff narrowed the list and let the fans choose their favorite. It was all a part of Allen Iverson Night at the Sixers on March 2, 2005 The entire evening was themed to everything AI - from hair dressers on hand to do cornrows and airbrush artists spraying on tatoos. The first 5,000 fans to the arena got a special Allen Iverson Bobblehead Doll with a game-worn jersey patch in the base. Fans got to see these 10 highlights in the arena and in the TV broadcast, but only fans visiting Sixer.com got to choose the top play and 8,033 responded to the poll question. Here are the results:

November 12, 2004 - He hit his first career game-winning shot, a 14-footer at the overtime horn, to give the 76ers a thrilling 106-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers. |

The Sixers 18-64 record in 1995-96 had the second-worst record in the NBA, giving them the second-best chance to win the first overall pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. They did so, beating out the Vancouver Grizzlies. When Iverson declared for the NBA Draft after his sophomore season, the stage was set for the Sixers to use that No. 1 pick on Iverson. |

The Lakers eventually took the series. |

The Sixers were playing host to the Bulls when Iverson came up the floor and was encountered by Jordan. In a play that perhaps represented the passing of a torch, Iverson faked to his left, then crossed-over to his right and blew past Jordan before sinking a jumper. The start of Iverson's legend was cemented in one play.
