DALLAS – Guard Jrue Holiday has missed the Sixers' last two games with a sprain of the longitudinal arch in his left foot; now, he will miss his third straight, as the Sixers take on the Mavericks in Dallas Tuesday night.
Head coach Doug Collins noted that the impressive fourth-year floor general could return to action as soon as Wednesday night, when Philly faces off against the Rockets in Houston.
"It's tricky, because I feel like we can win a lot of games (with me playing) and I feel like I can help my team," said Holiday. "At the same time, I think your foot is probably one of the most important parts (of your body when you play basketball). I'm going to try to get back as quick as possible."
In the Sixers' two games without Holiday, head coach Doug Collins has started Evan Turner, Jason Richardson, Nick Young, Thaddeus Young, and Kwame Brown. He will do so again Tuesday night against Dallas.
