Pre Draft Camp From Orlando: Day 3

The NBA’s annual Pre-Draft Camp concludes this afternoon, with games scheduled to finish at approximately 3:30pm. The games will take up most of the day, with teams going through a two-hour testing session following each of their contests, meaning the day will end at around 5:30pm.

The skill sessions will include many of the top prospects in the upcoming draft, including Washington's Spencer Hawes, Texas A&M's Acie Law and North Carolina's Brandan Wright, who are currently running through drills. Later today, many others will participate in these hour-long sessions, including Al Thornton of FSU, Al Horford, Corey Brewer and Joakim Noah of Florida, Jeff Green of Georgetown, Mike Conley Jr. of Ohio State and Josh McRoberts from Duke, along with the consensus top two players in the nation - Greg Oden and Kevin Durant.

"This is another chance for our group to get a live look at some of these prospects before we head back to Philadelphia to continue our evaluations and begin the individual workouts," said team President Billy King.

The conclusion of the NBA Pre-Draft camp means that teams will be allowed to begin individual workouts with players on June 5. The Sixers will announce shortly who they will be bringing in over the course of the month, with reports posted each day at sixers.com.

Overtime: The day's first game today went to overtime, with Team 2 defeating Team 3, 93-92. Ron Lewis of Ohio State had a chance to tie the game with 2.6 seconds left after getting fouled on a three-point attempt, but he missed the second free throw. This is the only game so far to require extra time.

Still Going: The stands at the Milk House gym are not as crowded this morning as they have been during the first two and a half days. The Sixers still have their full contingent in Orlando, as they continue to gather as much information as possible.

Gray Matter: Pittsburgh center Aaron Gray is the only player in Orlando who is averaging more than six rebounds and 14 points per game. Gray has posted averages of 15.5 points and seven rebounds in his two games to date, with another game this afternoon.

Gator-Aid: During yesterday afternoon’s game featuring Florida guard Taurean Green, he had his former Gator teammates Corey Brewer and Joakim Noah standing behind the bench lending him support. Ben Richard is another Florida Gator here participating in the Pre-Draft Camp.

Buzzworthy: With stories breaking seemingly every day, the Milk House gym is constantly buzzing with news. Media is constantly milling about the gym in an effort to stay on top of the news. Yesterday afternoon featured three Orlando television stations doing live news hits in front of the Wide World of Sports complex reporting on the Billy Donovan situation.

Dish Network: Going into today’s games, only four players have 10 or more assists, with three of them on one team. Nevada guard Ramon Sessions is tied with Marist guard Jared Jordan with a camp-high 12 assists, while teammates Coby Karl of Boise State and Jeremy Hunt of Memphis each have recorded 10 assists.
