Career Highlights: Was named Second Team All-ACC after both his sophomore and junior seasons. Led Maryland in points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes during his junior season, becoming the first player in school history to do so and only the sixth in ACC history. Ended career with 1,524 points, 16th on Maryland’s all-time list.
Junior (2008-09): Averaged 17.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.40 steals and 34.6 minutes, leading his team in every category. Was named All-ACC Second Team. Had Maryland’s first triple-double since 1987, when he had 35 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against eventual national champion North Carolina. Scored 27 points and grabbed five rebounds in NCAA first-round win over California. Scored 18 points and dished out five assists in a second-round loss in the NCAA Tournament to Memphis. Finished seventh in the ACC in scoring and third in free throw percentage (.867). His 613 points for the season were the 14th best single-season total in school history. Scored in double figures in the last 17 games of the season. Made 35 straight free throws at one point. Had 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists against Vermont. Scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against George Washington. Had 11 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists against Miami.
Sophomore (2007-08):Averaged 17.0 points and 6.8 assists, leading the ACC in assists. Was named to the All-ACC Second Team. Had 25 points and seven assists against Duke. Tied a school record with 15 assists against N.C. State. Also scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds against the Wolfpack. Had 24 points and eight assists against Wake Forest. Scored 12 points and had 11 assists against North Carolina. Scored 28 points vs. American. Had a double-double against MorganState with 17 points and 11 assists.
Freshman (2006-07): Averaged 9.8 points, 4.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds and was named Honorable Mention All-ACC, and to the ACC All-Freshmen team. Scored in double figures in 19 games. Had 13 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds against Duke. Dished out 11 assists against Clemson.
Strengths: Nice size for the point guard position. Creative scorer, who can get into the lane and finish. Sees the floor well. Has a good overall feel for the game and plays with supreme confidence.
Personal: Played in high school with Kevin Durant. Majored in American Studies.
