Career Highlights: Set ACC record with .440 three-point percentage during his Miami career. In only three seasons, hit a UM record 286 career three-pointers, 11th on the ACC charts. Averaged 3.1 three-point baskets over his career, fifth-best in ACC history. Ranks second in ACC with .900 career free throw percentage.

Senior Year (2008-09): All-ACC First Team selection. Led ACC in three-point percentage (.453, 6th in NCAA) and free throw percentage (.885, 10th in NCAA). Averaged a league-best 3.2 three-pointers and set a UM single-season record with 101 three-pointers made. Finished third in ACC in scoring (19.3 ppg). In five games vs. No. 1 ranked opponents (UNC twice, Duke, Wake Forest and UConn), averaged 29.8 points and 5.2 three-pointers. Posted back-to-back 30-point games vs. Wake (32), Duke (34) and UNC (35).

Junior Year (2007-08): First Miami men’s player to earn All-ACC First Team honors. Led ACC in free throw percentage (.919, 3rd in NCAA) and three-pointers per game (2.9) Ranked second in the league in three-point percentage (.427) and fourth in scoring (17.7 ppg). Averaged 28.0 points in NCAA Tourney, including a career-high 38 points vs. St. Mary’s. Named to Puerto Rico Tip-Off All-Tournament Team after leading Miami to title.

Sophomore Year (2006-07): All-ACC Third Team pick. Started 22 of 31 games. Shot an ACCbest .440 from beyond the arc and .895 from the free throw line. Led the Hurricanes with 31.5 minutes per game. Scored 20 or more points in 10 games. Scored a season-high 31 points vs. Florida State (3/3).

Freshman Year (2004-05): Six-time MAAC Rookie of the Week. Started 23 of 30 games. Averaged 13.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Played a career-high 57 minutes in four-OT win over Youngstown State.

Strengths: Prolific deep shooter with unlimited range. Quick release with excellent form. Solid first step keeps defenders off balance.

Personal: Won the three-point contest at the 2009 College Slam Dunk and Three Point Championship in Detroit. Named Co-MVP of Chris Paul’s Elite Camp in 2008. Nickname is J-Mac. Prepped at South Kent in Connecticut as a senior.
