The Philadelphia 76ers are holding auditions for their Sixers Junior Dancers.  The audition is open to boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12 who are energetic, have dance experience and are interested in being a part of a great hip-hop troupe that performs at 76ers home games.  ALL THOSE AUDITIONING MUST HAVE ATTENDED A SESSION OF THE SIXERS DANCE CAMPS DURING THE SUMMER OF 2008.  Visit www.sixerscamps.com and click on “DANCE” for further information.

When:

• Saturday, October 4, 2008
• @ Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)
• Registration at 8:00 a.m.
• Auditions start promptly at 9:00 a.m. --- no one will be permitted to enter once the auditions start!!!!!

• Please note that there is a $5 parking fee at PCOM.
• No parents/observers will be permitted to observe the audition process.  No one except registered dancers are allowed in the gym at any time.

Audition Requirements:

• All Applicants must be at least 9 and no older than 12 years of age on October 15, 2008.
• Proof of age is required to audition. Please bring an original birth certificate to the auditions which will be checked and returned to you when you check-in.
• All applicants must submit a recent photo.  Photos do not need to be professional quality and WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

Selection Process:

• Applicants are judged on their dancing, showmanship, performance skills and ability to learn and perform the short routine that will be taught at the auditions.

If Selected:

• Participation fees must be paid in full before the first rehearsal.  The annual participation fee is $300.00 which includes all rehearsals, team uniform, team photo, and a video of all performances which is sent out at the end of the regular season.
• Must attend all rehearsals, which are held on Sunday afternoons at Touch of Class Dance Studio, Broomall, PA.
• Attend all scheduled performances (six to eight per season).
• Participate in any outside appearances on a voluntary basis.

Application:

• No application will be accepted unless accompanied by both waivers signed by a parent/guardian.
• Applications must be received prior to September 20, 2008. If necessary you may bring the application to the audition on October 4th.
