The Philadelphia 76ers will hold open auditions for the 2007-08 Sixers Dancers on Saturday, June 23 at Villanova University. Auditions will take place in the Pavilion from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. No observers are permitted at the audition or in the lobby area.

Those interested in auditioning must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2007 and must have previous dance training. An application along with two photos (head shot and full-body shot) must be submitted at check-in. For those looking for an advantage, it is encouraged that they participate in the Sixers Dancers Pre-Audition Workshops. The two sessions are being held on Tuesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 21 from 7 - 9:00 p.m. at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) located on City Avenue in Philadelphia.

The workshops serve as an instructional aid and touches on subjects such as dance combinations, turns & leaps most often included in auditions, tips on hair/make-up/clothing as well as a mini-audition and critiques. One workshop is $25, or $40 for both.
The final round of Sixers Dancers auditions will be held on July 18 at Chickie’s & Pete’s in South Philadelphia and is open to the public. The 2007-08 Sixers Dancers will be officially unveiled at the Sixers Beach Bash on August 4 at La Costa in Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
