Junior Sixers Dancers Auditions 2007
The Philadelphia 76ers are holding auditions for their Sixers Junior Dancers. All who audition must have attended either a day or an overnight session of Sixers Dance Camp (during the summer of 2007). The audition is open to boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12.

What:
On Saturday morning, October 6th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., the Sixers will host their second annual "JamFest" for the participants of the 2007 Sixers Dance Camps (both day and overnight) at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. The JamFest will include performances by the newly selected 2007-08 Sixers Dancers, a mini-clinic for the dancers, and a special appearance by Hip Hop and the Hare Raisers. The performance is exclusively for the dance campers and their families, and is a fantastic wrap-up party for the camp season.

After the morning of festivities, the afternoon will feature the Junior Sixers Dancers auditions for those campers who are age qualified. Dancers who are trying out need to be 9 years old by October 6th, and no older than 12 years old on that date. Those selected for the team will dance on the court during three regular season home games, and also have the opportunity to perform at various other Sixers events.

Please note that there is a $5 parking fee at PCOM.

When:
Auditions held Saturday October 6, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Audition Requirements:

All who audition must have attended either a Sixers Day Camp or an overnight session of Sixers Dance Camp

All Applicants must be at least 9 and no older than 12 years old as of October 6, 2006.

All applicants must submit a recent photo. Photos do not need to be professional quality and WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

Note: Auditions are closed to dancers only! No parents will be allowed into the audition area.

Proof of age is required to audition. Please bring an original birth certificate to the auditions which will be checked and returned to you when you check-in.

Selection Process:
Applicants are judged on their dancing, showmanship, performance skills and ability to learn and perform the short routine that will be taught at the auditions.

If Selected:

A participation fee of $300.00 must be paid in full before the first rehearsal in October. This fee includes all rehearsals, the team uniform, two tickets to one game, a team picture, and a video of the team’s performances.

The dancer must attend all rehearsals which are held on Sunday afternoons (specific dates and times TBA).

Dancers will perform at three regular season 76ers games.
