Read to Achieve - January 2003

Green Fields Elementary School January 21
On January 21st, CN8 Producer Traci Benjamin and mascot Hip-Hop visited Green Fields Elementary School in West Deptford, NJ as part of the 76ers Read to Achieve program. Traci, a newcomer to the program, enthusiastically read Hip-Hop's favorite book, Bunny's Noisy Book. All of the kids joined in to recite the Read to Achieve pledge and the 76ers made a donation of Scholastic Books to the school's library.

HMS School January 15
76ers Radio Broadcaster Tom McGinnis and mascot Hip-Hop visited the HMS School in Philadelphia as part of the 76ers Read to Achieve program. Tom, a frequent visitor to the HMS School, read Bunny Noisy Book while Hip-Hop acted it out. Tom passed out bookmarks and signed autographs for the kids. He also promised to say Hello to the kids from the HMS School on tonight's game broadcast. The 76ers also donated Scholastic Books to the school library.
