Sixers Unveil A New Gymnasium Floor At Finley Recreational Center In Philadelphia, PA
76ers players and front office staff joined members of the Philadelphia Department of Recreation at the Finley Recreation Center in Philadelphia, Pa. to unveil a new gymnasium floor. The new floor, which was funded by the 76ers Playground Rebound initiative, presented by Pepsi, was unveiled at 5 p.m. at a ceremony hosted by Sixers broadcaster Marc Zumoff.

The 76ers Playground Rebound, presented by Pepsi, aims to refurbish area playgrounds, recreation centers and athletic facilities. Over the past four years, the initiative has replaced a total of 128 backboards and rims at 44 playgrounds in the Delaware Valley. This year, the 76ers took the program one step forward by having a new floor installed in the Finley Recreation Center.

"The entire Finley Recreation Center community is very thankful to the 76ers organization for partnering with the Philadelphia Department of Recreation to get this project done,” said Chuck Donaldson, Supervisor of the Finley Recreation Center.
“It has been a long time coming and this will be a great thing for this community."

The unveiling ceremony began at 5 p.m. followed by a Basketball 101 clinic led by Ambassador of 76ers Basketball World B. Free. The Basketball 101 program is a fast-paced clinic designed to teach basketball fundamentals to children across the Delaware Valley. After the clinic, Free, Dalembert, Korver and Smith will sign autographs for the participants.
