In the spirit of the holidays, the 76ers and Comcast SportsNet are encouraging their fans to take part in the season of giving. On Saturday, December 6th, the team will tip-off their annual Toy Drive. All fans attending the game against the New Jersey Nets are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the U.S. Marines “Toys for Tots” program. All toys donated will go to underprivileged children in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Last year fans generated almost 600 toys that were donated during the holiday season. Donations will be collected from the time doors open (6:00 p.m.) until halftime. Collection boxes will be set up at every Wachovia Center entrance. Fans who donate a toy, will receive a Dave and Busters power card and will be able to register to win a grand prize of two tickets to a future game in the Comcast SportsNet Suite with a tour of the Studios, a Pregame Courtside Pass, plus an Autographed Team Ball. Please join us to make the holidays happier for child in need. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Click to view the photo gallery. |
