What was your favorite children's book growing up and why?

  • My favorite books growing up were the Bernstein Bears collection. I was fascinated with how bears were living in a tree house.

    What is your favorite book now and why?

  • My favorite book now is the Holy Bible. I read it every night to try to guide and live my life the right way. The Bible means a lot to me and my family-values as a Christian.

    What book has had a major impact on your life and why?

  • “The Bluest Eye”, by Tony Morrison. The books has messages relating to self-esteem and racism.

    Who got you interested in reading?

  • My mother got me interested in reading.

    Is reading an important part of your profession?

  • Yes, reading is a very important part of my life.

    Why is reading important?

  • Reading is knowledge.

    Why do you love to read?

  • I love to read because it inspires me to learn more.

  • I would be Cinderella because I love the way that she kept a positive attitude even when her life seemed terrible.
