Trading high-tops for flip-flops, the Sixers will turn up the heat this summer when they host their 14th-annual Beach Bash presented by Coors Light on July 27 from 3-6PM.
Held at Jack’s Place in Avalon, NJ, Beach Bash is a summer tradition for many Sixers fans. But for newcomers, here’s the lowdown:
Every summer, the team invites fans, young and old, to join them for an afternoon of fun in the sun – carnival amusements, face painting, interactive games, and a whole lot more. Food and drinks will be on sale outside, and Bash-goers over the age of 21 will be eligible to receive Coors Light giveaways and see a live band perform inside Jack’s Place. There is a $10 cover for those who wish to enter Jack’s Place, but the outdoor events are free to all.
Outside, Sixers forward Lavoy Allen and rookies Arsalan Kazemi and Nerlens Noel will be on hand to mingle with fans, and inside, celebrity bartenders Mike Gill and Todd Ranck from 97.3 ESPN of the Sixers Radio Network will help serve up a good time for Jack’s Place patrons. Harlem Globetrotters star Cheese Chisholm will also stop by in advance of their four games at the Wildwoods Convention Center from August 7 to 10 The new members of the 2013-14 Sixers Dream Team will also perform for the first time, and there will be opportunities for fans to bid on unique memorabilia in a special silent auction and purchase items at a Sixers yard sale.
Most importantly, all proceeds from the event benefit the Sixers Care Foundation, which supports organizations that focus on youth, recreation, health, and education.
So apply the sunscreen, pop on the shades, load up the car, and come on down the shore for a day of summer fun and lasting memories. Go Sixers!
