Complete preseason schedule

NEW YORK, Aug. 7 -- NBA TV's live coverage of four international games from México City; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Paris; and Barcelona, Spain, highlights the league's 116-game preseason schedule for 2003.

NBA TV opens the preseason on Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. ET with NBA México 2003, featuring the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz, from the Palacio de los Deportes.

The remainder of NBA TV's international broadcasts include: NBA Puerto Rico 2003 on Oct. 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET, between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat, and the NBA Europe Games 2003, featuring the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies from Paris on Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. ET, followed by Memphis facing the 2003 Euroleague Champions FC Barcelona in Barcelona on Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. ET.

National television coverage continues with two games each on TNT and ESPN, beginning on Oct. 16, with the Cleveland Cavaliers, led by 2003 NBA Draft No. 1 pick LeBron James, meeting the Los Angeles Lakers at STAPLES Center at 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT.

TNT returns on Oct. 23, with the Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers from The Pond in Anaheim at 10:30 p.m. ET. ESPN concludes the preseason schedule with a doubleheader on Oct. 24, featuring the defending NBA champion Spurs and Houston Rockets from San Antonio at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Lakers and Sacramento Kings from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas at 10:30 p.m. ET.

NBA teams will visit 32 non-NBA cities during the preseason including an Oct. 8 stop in Asheville, N.C., home of the National Basketball Development League's (NBDL) Asheville Altitude, where the Cavaliers face the Atlanta Hawks.

Other preseason highlights include a game between the Toronto Raptors and Panathinaikos (Greece) -- a first-division club from the Hellenic Basketball Federation -- in Toronto on Oct. 10, the opening of Houston's new downtown arena, Toyota Center, on Oct. 12, when the Rockets host the New Orleans Hornets, and the return of NBA basketball to Charlotte when the Hawks meet the Washington Wizards at the Charlotte Coliseum on Oct. 20.

The NBA's 2003-04 regular season debuts Oct. 28 on TNT with the first two of 11 nationally televised games over six nights during NBA "Premiere Week."
