Audition Requirements
* Must be 18 years or older and a high school graduate by October 1, 2013 (valid photo I.D. required)
* Must be a full time college student or hold a full time job
* Completed Application, release form and professional/dance resume
* Must be able to attend Rockets home games & all evening rehearsals two times a week
* Must be able to attend a certain number of appearances & other related Rockets activities
* If selected to the team, a one year contract and commitment are required
* Must provide one non-returnable headshot color photo & full body photo
* Drug test screening for finalists
* Walk ups day of auditions are also welcomed

What to wear:
* Dance or athletic half-top (stomach must be showing)
* Hot pants, booty shorts, boy shorts, skirts - two piece dance ensemble (must be fitted, no full length pants or capri pants)
* Sneakers or danceable shoe of preference with non-marking soles (please no black soles)
* Flesh tone hose or tights
* Performance ready hair and make-up

What we're looking for:
* Confidence, personality, showmanship, energy and enthusiasm
* Professionalism and maturity
* Dancers who are well spoken and can represent the Houston Rockets and RPD in a professional manner at all times
* Ability to pick up dance choreography quickly
* Consistent positive attitude
* Strong teamwork skills

* Ability and desire to commit for one full year

AUDITION PROCESS ON SATURDAY, JUNE 22, 2013
* Open auditions are closed to the public, family, and friends
* This round will consists of a series of 2-3 eliminations that will include, freestyle, stylized choreography and hip-hop choreography
* Finalists will be chosen and announced at the end of the day
* We recommend that you bring snacks, water and any items to freshen up between rounds
* Candidates will be judged on appearance, dance ability, style, strength and completion of choreography, energy, projection and potential

Finalist Interviews: Monday, June 24 by appointment

Finalist Boot Camp: June 25 – 28 – Evenings

Launch Crew Audition Requirements:

AUDITION PROCESS ON FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 2013
* Open auditions are closed to the public, family, and friends
* Candidates will be judged on appearance, performance ability, style, strength and completion of movement, energy, projection and potential
* B-BOYS/B-GIRLS:  (2) 30 second rounds of battling
* POP LOCKERS:  Must choreograph a 30 second solo to your choice of music.  Bring your music to your audition.  Music must be clean and on a CD or in MP3 format 
* JUMPERS: 30 seconds of individual jump roping showcasing your strongest skills
* CHEER STUNTERS:  Will receive an assigned stunt sequence on audition day and will do one elite show stopping stunt of your choice
* GYMNASTS/TUMBLERS:  (2) full court elite tumbling passes

DIPPERS AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Boys and girls must be between the ages of 7-14 years old as of October 1, 2013
· At least 2 years of dance, cheer or tumbling experience recommended, but not required
· Must bring non-returnable headshot photo (does not need to be professional)
· Wear comfortable clothing and shoe of preference (non-marking soles – please no black soles shoes)
· Parent/guardian must be present at registration, even if you pre-registered

SPACE CITY SENIORS AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
· 55+ as of October 1, 2013 (valid photo I.D. required)
· Completed Application and Release Form – DEADLINE for application – Monday, June 17, 2013
· Candidates must be willing to devote a large percentage of time to the Space City Seniors program, including attendance at practices and all designated games
· Candidates must have reliable transportation and live in or close to the Houston area
· All candidates will be asked to demonstrate athletic skills (i.e. dancing, line dancing or any other related skills)
