HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets and Toyota Center announced today a multi-layered partnership with Cricket Communications, Inc. As part of this partnership, game and concert attendees will be able to visit Cricket’s new Muve Music Lounge – open year-round inside Toyota Center – to try out phones, win great prizes and maybe even meet a few celebrities.

“This partnership allows us to extend a unique opportunity for our fans and concert goers to experience this game-changing technology of Muve Music,” said Rockets and Clutch City Sports & Entertainment CEO Tad Brown. “Music lovers will be excited about the new entertainment platform brought to them by Cricket for all events held at Toyota Center this year.”

Muve Music is the first music experience designed specifically for the mobile phone; there are no download fees or monthly music subscription charges – it’s all included in the Cricket wireless service. Cricket is the only U.S. wireless carrier to offer consumers unlimited song downloads, unlimited ringtones and unlimited ringback tones as part of a wireless rate plan. Muve Music has grown to more than 270,000 customers and is one of the fastest growing digital music services in the U.S.

“We are extremely excited to be an official sponsor of the Houston Rockets,” said Rick Baughman, Cricket Regional General Manager-East Texas. “This partnership not only confirms our commitment to this great city, but also shows support to our fellow Houstonians and their affinity for music and sports.”
