"It opens up the game for everybody, so we have to know every player in the draft. We are just going to keep an open mind. We are still stunned. During the countdown when we weren't at five, we knew something good was happening.

"The great thing is this pick will get a lot of interest back in the Rockets again after having an injury plagued year. During the season when we were going from one lineup to the next and being close in games, I felt very good about the heart of my team. In the back of my mind I kept hoping all the agony we are going through during the season would payoff somewhere, and right now we have the opportunity to get that payoff.

"This year we have been blessed to have the number one pick and we have to look at what is available and do the best that we can for this team.

"It puts us in a position where we have a lot of options to look at. We are keeping an open mind on this situation. I'm sure we will get calls from a lot of people and we have to weigh a lot of things. What we have to do as an organization is make sure we know all the players in the draft.

"I'm so happy to be in the position we are in right now. I think it's great for our franchise and our city to get the excitement of something like this again."
