Rockets begin 2006-07 television schedule on FSN Houston

HOUSTON -- Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming will have their return to the floor broadcast on FSN Houston.

The Rockets revealed their 2006-07 local television schedule on Thursday with their season opener at Utah set to air on FSN Houston on Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.

The season opener will be the first time McGrady and Yao have been together on the court since enduring injuries last season.

During the season, the Rockets will have 65 games broadcast on FSN Houston and 19 games televised locally on KNWS TV51. Houston's seven preseason games are included in the lineup, with the preseason opener against Memphis slated on FSN Houston on Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and Rockets legend Clyde Drexler will join Worrell as analyst during home games and all playoff contests, while former Rockets forward Matt Bullard returns to handle the analyst duties for the team’s away games.

Houston will also be featured on national television 21 times. TNT will broadcast three Rockets games during the season, while ABC will air two contests. In addition, seven Rockets games will be broadcast on ESPN and another nine will air on NBA TV.

Along with the television package, all games can be heard locally on SportsRadio 610 AM, as well as the Spanish broadcast on KYST 920 AM. Houston’s veteran broadcast team of Gene Peterson and Jim Foley will be joined again by studio host Craig Ackerman to call all games during the 2006-07 campaign. Returning to handle play-by-play duties for the Spanish broadcast will be Adrian Chavarria.
