WIN IN STYLE
This is the 2000's not the late 1900's. Don't go back to red and gold. Going back to red and gold is not going to help the Rockets win. Get something more stylish so that if they do win, they'll be winning in style. Keep the pinstripes - they look sweet. The logo does need some work. More intimidating and fierce.

CURSE OF THE GENE-BINO
We will be forever cursed as a franchise unless we go back to the uniform we won it all in. The Celtics didn't change; neither did the Lakers or Knicks. Go with the Karma, go with the red and gold. Getting rid of the red and gold was like telling Gene Peterson to never say, "How sweet it is" again. Or, keep the blue and red and don't ever gripe about never winning another ring.

JUST WIN BABY
I think the Rockets need a harder more intimidating look. I've got two
words for you - silver and black.
Mitch Stewart
KEEP IT SIMPLE
I think the current colors are the better colors. Keep the red and blue. Keep it simple (do away with the pinstripes). Take the Rockets logo off the uniform (put the number in the center on the front). Simplify the logo. (i.e.. take the face off the rocket, it looks like a cartoon). Invert the away uniform colors. Make it predominantly red with white and blue trim.

OLD GLORY
In addition to serving in the US Air Force deployed overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, I am also a native Houstonian. It's well past time to change the uniforms of our beloved Rockets. The navy blue/red/silver and stripes scheme was a bold move back in the late ‘90s, but I've come to realize how tacky it really looks. It would be one thing if they were pinstripes, but they're these big hideous slashes. The home uniforms make our players look like they're wearing prison uniforms! Seattle and Detroit got it right by returning to their old color schemes but with a noticeable redesign. I'd like to see us return to the Red and Gold of glory days gone by, but with more updated lettering than the ‘70s font that was used.

SOUTHERN PRIDE
Grey and red would be a great way to show not only southern pride but also have a southwestern flavor. Do not keep the pinstripes! Pinstripes are for baseball and should stay there. Maybe a white home jersey with red letters and grey trim while the road uniforms could be grey with red letters and white trim. The grey and red colors also would help sell more merchandise because I hate to say it but the combo of red and yellow are tacky. Also with flamboyant coloring nobody wants to wear the clothes outside of the stadium.

SHOULD THEY STAY OR SHOULD THEY GO?
I think the Rockets should stick with their current uniforms! If anything, get rid of the pinstripes. I have even gotten used to them and would probably miss the stripes too.

NOT THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH
The color scheme is nice, BUT YOU HAVE TO LOSE THE PINSTRIPES! We are the Houston Rockets, not the circus. Something basic and trendy that will get everybody talking. It would be nice to see the Rockets in a different uniform on the road maybe a black or red would be nice.

ROCKETS RED GLARE
Here's what I like most: Our colors as red, yellow and white. These were the colors during the back-to-back championship years and we should bring them back. Mixing in a little black wouldn't hurt either. We should definitely go back to red uniforms on the road. They were distinct and menacing. I do like the pinstripes, but make them much more subtle.

DON’T KNOCK THE PJ’S
I don't like the "thick" pinstripes. If there are going to be pinstripes, make them a lot thinner and more subtle. It irks me how people have made fun of the "pajamas" for the last several years.

DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS
The pinstripes have got to go. We're not fashion aficionados from NY or Paris. We're Texas meat and potatoes - hard working people who appreciate the simple things.

OH SAY CAN YOU SEE…
The bottom line is that we should be proud of the Rockets heritage and what the red and gold stood for. What is the sense of satisfaction found in being trendsetters? Be like the Celtics and the Lakers. They have maintained their colors and logos because they are proud of who they are and what their colors stand for. Think about the uniform as our country's banner. Would we ever change the good ol' stars and stripes?

SIMPLICITY RULES
I think the new unis should be trendsetting, yet simple and understated. When I say trendsetting I mean unique in a way no other NBA team is. Some teams around the league have three unis; one home white and two road unis. The Rockets should do it a little differently. They should have, if the NBA would allow it, two home unis. One white and one the color of whatever the color scheme would be.
The understatement comes in the color and design. The current unis are too busy. It was like whoever came up with the current design tried to put in too many ideas at once. In my opinion you take one concept and stick to it. If you want pinstripes lose the gigantic red stripe on the shorts or add the red stripe to the jersey and lose the pinstripes. As far as colors go, return to the old colors with a little twist. Make the red darker. Then add a little silver and gold to give a bit of a space age touch to it. That brings me back to the second home uni idea. Along with the white have a silver home uni. But don't forget to keep it simple.

NO KETCHUP AND MUSTARD
Please give the new uniforms a much simpler, classy look. You don't have to have designs and lines and panels and rockets blasting off to be impressive. I mean, the current uniforms can seriously make one queasy if he or she stares at them too long. The current color scheme, however, is great. Red, white and navy will always be a classic color combination. Finally, although many are nostalgic regarding the old red and yellow because of their association with our favorite Rockets teams, in my opinion, those colors looks absolutely awful together.

THE LADIES ARE STYLIN’
I think that the present uniforms are too 'loud' and outdated. But we only have to look at Houston's other team, the Comets, to see an example of a modern and stylish uniform. There they have gone back to the old white and red unforms but still incorporate the new blue color. Perhaps we could follow the Comets’ example by retaining the Rockets logo but making it more basic for the unis. The pinstripes have to go!

MAKE A STATEMENT
I have read all of the comments on the website and I am encouraged by
most of them. Many of the comments suggest that we should go back to
the 1972-1995 uniforms and logo. I could not agree with those comments
more! That was the proud portion of our history, those
were our championship years! We must bring back that feel and history
to the franchise! The look must be CLASSIC, TRADITIONAL, SIMPLE, and
BUILT TO LAST. Think of the Celtics and the Lakers and the proud
history standing behind those teams. Think of the statement we would be making to the league and the city of Houston if we brought back the
championship uniforms: The Rockets are back!

JUST SAY NO TO RETRO
The pinstriped PJ's have to go. I'd like to see a return to the old Houston colors - it is more unique. I don't think we need a retro uniform, let’s keep it modern and exciting. Use a new logo in an interesting way to add value and style to the uniform. Who knows, maybe the logo could take up 1/3rd of the jersey?
