Thank you for your interest in the Houston Rockets and Comets Internship Program. The Houston Rockets and Comets organization is committed to becoming the premier sports organization in the world. If your goal is a career in professional sports, you have made the right decision to contact us. We provide various Internship opportunities throughout the Houston Rockets and Comets. Those who are selected to become interns will acquire practical knowledge through hands-on experience and gain invaluable skills necessary to compete for jobs in sports industries when their program is completed.

The Houston Rockets and Comets welcome college junior, senior and graduate level students along with recent college graduates (up to 12 months following graduation date) to pursue a number of internship opportunities. Internship opportunities are offered in various departments throughout the year including Accounting, Broadcasting, Community Relations, Media Relations, Marketing, IT, and Corporate Development.

Most of our internship opportunities differ in their responsibilities and time commitments. Once accepted, an individual may serve only a single internship. For these reasons, it is important that you read through each description and carefully choose the internship(s) which interests you most.

You must formally apply for the internship(s) of your choice by submitting your resume and a letter of interest describing your qualifications, interest, and how this opportunity aligns with your career goals to the Human Resources department of the Houston Rockets and Comets. You may apply for a maximum of two positions each season.

Houston Rockets and Comets internships are paid internships at the prevailing minimum wage ($5.15/hour). Some of our internships are unpaid and are offered for course credit hours. We indicate course credit internships on the postings so you will know. Interns are classified as non-exempt and therefore eligible for overtime earnings for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. Relocation and housing expenses are the responsibility of the intern. Please note that any candidate selected as a finalist may be asked to interview in Houston at his or her own expense.
