HOUSTON - Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy and his team want the most passionate red-and-white fans in Houston inside Toyota Center on a permanent basis.

Are you willing to prove that you're one of them?

The organization will hold open auditions on Saturday, Aug. 26 for fans to earn a chance to win season tickets for the 2006-07 season. The winning fans will be seated in the team's new "Red Rowdies" section!

The fun will begin at 9 a.m in Toyota Center. It will be a no-holds barred event where anything goes. Each participant will have 30 seconds to be as outrageous, creative and noisy as possible. The name of the game - Exude Rockets pride!

A select number of rowdy, crazy and energetic fans will receive the grand prize of full season tickets to attend all Rockets home games for the 2006-2007 season.

Van Gundy is giving away the season tickets to reward Houstonians for their support of the Rockets.

"My idea behind this is to attract the young, energetic fans that can provide the high energy level that our players can rally around," Van Gundy said. "By helping to provide a high-energy environment that our players can feed off of our fans can impact our play on the court.

"A loud, energetic crowd makes for a great home court advantage and that can be the difference in a close game," he added. "The only requirement for sitting in the new section is that you come ready to be loud and make Toyota Center a tough place for our opponents."

Registration ends at 10:30 a.m. so don't be late!

If you can convince a panel of celebrity judges that YOU are the rowdiest, craziest, most
energetic Rockets fan in Houston, YOU could win season tickets to all Rockets home
games for the 2006-2007 season.

Each participant will have thirty seconds to be as outrageous, creative and noisy as possible. You will be judged on originality, creativity and enthusiasm.

WHEN: Saturday, August, 26th, 2006 starting at 9 a.m.
WHERE: Toyota Center, 1510 Polk St., Houston, TX 77002
(enter thru La Branch St. entrance)
OPEN TO: Rockets fans 18+ years and older
ATTIRE: Anything that screams Rockets pride
ADMISSION: FREE
