Teacher of the Game Presented by Devon Energy
For the eighth consecutive year, the Houston Rockets and Devon Energy Corporation are teaming up to recognize exemplary teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty, as well as inspire their students to succeed in school and in life. We need your help identifying these superstars.
During the 2012-13 season, fifteen (15) outstanding teachers will receive the Devon Energy "Teacher of the Game" honor. Each honoree will receive tickets to a Houston Rockets home game, on-court recognition during the game, as well as a $100 gift certificate for classroom supplies, a t-shirt, a tote bag and award commemorating this exciting event! Honorees will also be recognized on Rockets.com.
In addition to the 15 "Teacher of the Game" honorees, Devon Energy and the Houston Rockets will also randomly select 25 additional nominated teachers for recognition. These teachers will receive two (2) tickets to a Houston Rockets home game TBD and a commemorative mug. Individual nominators whose teacher is selected as the final fifteen (15) will receive a "Teacher of the Game Nominator" t-shirt. Randomly selected nominators will also receive autographed memorabilia for their submissions.
To participate, please distribute copies of the enclosed informational flyer/nomination form to teachers, administrators, school faculty, parents, students, PTO and PTA members etc. and encourage them to nominate a teacher who inspires his or her students to succeed.
