Let me tell you, it has been a wet one out here today and my computer might not work for much longer in this rain. That being the case I wanted to get this letter out to all of you before my computer shorts out.
If you have not stopped by to see me yet, please do. I'm camping out on this balcony 24 hours a day until the Rockets clinch a playoff spot. I started my crusade Monday morning at 6:00 a.m. and am now 34 hours deep with two rain storms under my belt.
It is not easy being a professional mascot, but someone has to do it. Just kidding. I'm lovin' every minute of this balcony and all the fans who stop by to see me. I'm going to love it even more once my Rockets have clinched their rightful playoff spot and head into the postseason.
It was the month of mascot birthday parties. Before I decided to get up on this balcony to show my support for my favorite team, I was doing some traveling this past month. I went to New Orleans, Detroit and Oakland for mascot birthday parties. I had a blast.
First I celebrated my 9th birthday on March 7 with six of my closest NBA mascot buddies. The Rockets gave away 5,000 Me (Clutch) In The Boxes in my honor. A Clutch In The Box is like a jack in the box only instead of a clown, it is me.
Second, I went to my buddy Hugo's 16th birthday party in the Big Easy on Sunday, March 21. I don't know what was crazier, the birthday party at the Hornets game or 10 fur balls taking over Bourbon Street.
Next, I was off to Detroit where the night before Hooper's 2nd birthday party, we all saw Kid Rock perform. Seeing Kid Rock in Detroit is pretty cool! Hooper's party was held on Saturday, March 27.
Lastly, after "D" town, I ended up in Oakland for Thunder's first birthday the next night (Sunday, March 28). What a knucklehead that guy is. He actually talks. I didn't know mascots could talk. I thought they could just write.
Finally it was back to Houston for a home game on Monday, March 29. For those of you who are keeping track, that last stint was three games in three days in three different cities. I was ready for some hiberation!
Until next time, or until you stop by and see me on this balcony before the Rockets clinch a playoff spot, BE BIG!
