HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I don't know about you, but I had a great one. I spent it at my favorite place - the Rockets game! And I was doing my favorite thing - watching them win! Nothing beats ringing in the New Year more than watching your favorite team bring home the "W" just minutes before entering 2004. I hope it is merely foreshadowing of the year to come.
Were you there too? If not, you need to check out our schedule when it's released next year to see if we have a game on December 31. This was the second year in a row that thousands of Rockets fans gathered for a 9:00 p.m. game so they could all welcome in the New Year together following the completion of the game. With a win and a postgame concert by Baby Bash, this year's celebration was a blast!
Unfortunately the holiday season is over. I always get a little blue just after the holidays because it is sad that all the holiday fun is over and I have to wait a whole year for it to happen again. But then I remember that President's Day is just around the corner and exhilarating anticipation is pumped back into my body instantly just thinking about that action-packed festival and celebration. I mean who doesn't just relish in the thought of excitement to come on February 16?
Oh, but wait! I'm forgetting about Valentine's Day. That is a tough holiday for me. I have to buy presents for each and every one of the Power Dancers or they get jealous and won't dance with me. What is a bear to do? Such a tough life...
Speaking of (I mean writing of) Valentine's Day, have you booked your Clutch-Gram (I mean Me-Gram) to send to your special someone? If you don't know what it is, then check this out. A Clutch-Gram is a personalized visit from everyone’s favorite mascot, ME. I'm so modest, aren't I? Visits are available to be scheduled all day on February 12, 13, and 14. Along with my unique sense of humor and off the wall antics, I will deliver a Rocketized Valentine’s Day gift basket to your loved one.

My sidekick will also be on hand to take some Polaroid photos to leave with your Valentine as well as some digital photos to e-mail to you later. If you are interested in scheduling a Clutch-Gram or would like to speak to my trainer, Dominic Davila, for more information, please call 713-758-7347.
I promise you that this gift will provide lifelong memories and will be the talk of all your sweetheart's friends, family members and co-workers. Hope to see you or your honey on Valentine's Day!
All the games we had over the holidays were fun. In case you did not get to see them in person, one of the highlights for me included playing Christmas tree bowling. I was sling-shotted down the court on a platform with wheels at about 30 miles per hour into 10 Christmas trees set up like bowling pins. And in answer to your forthcoming question, no I didn't get a strike. I did, however, pick up the spare.
Another fun thing was dressing as Santa Clutch and walking around with mistletoe on a string attached to a pole I was carrying. I was making people kiss left and right. I even came prepared with breath mints for each of the referees. My favorite holiday stunt was stringing 200 Christmas lights to my head and running around with them all lit up. Man, was I a colorful personality that day!
I got a few gifts over the holidays as well. By the way, did anyone get any really cool new toys that I should know about? You know I'm always looking for something new and different to play with on the court. Last year I got my new Segway to tool around on. Oh man, two prepositions in a row to end a sentence with. The English teachers are going nuts!
This year I got a super BIG remote control Toyota monster truck to race around the court. What did ya'll get? E-mail me at clutch@rocketball.com to let me know. Gotta go wash my fur. Talk (I mean write) to you next month.
Be BIG!
