Back for yet another action packed season. I am writing to you only a few hours before the start of the Orlando preseason game on the 20th. Stuff, the dragon mascot for the Magic, is looking a little weak this year. I think I could take him with one paw tied behind my back and only half out of hibernation. Bring it on dragon breath!
Both games that I was at last week were exciting. The win against the Spurs on Tuesday was a great way to start off our last season at Compaq Center. Yea, take that you silly Coyote, you duffess! Even though we took one on the chin in St. Louis against the Trail Blazers, it was a hard fought battle that we only lost by one point. The food on the charter flight back ruled. Get ready for this. I had two hard shelled tacos, one soft shelled taco, one bag of Baked Lays, three chicken fingers, one turkey dinner with stuffing, gravy, string beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, one salad with Italian dressing, one glass of ginger ale, one warm chocolate chip cookie, and one cold glass of milk. It was delectible. Shout out to the airline's chef. You rule! My waist line has a positive corrolation to the amount of road trips I perform at with the team. The only time it was a negative one was when I used to travel when Charles Barkley was playing for us. He used to beat me to the buffet line every time. He didn't even leave me any scraps. Go figure.
Yao Ming should be arriving into the airport right about now and on his way to Compaq Center for the very first time. I'm very excited. I have some new bits this year that I think he will especially like. The only down side it that I'm not the tallest Rocket anymore. Standing 7-2 just isn't quite enough now that the 7-6 force is in town. Recognize! I can't wait to see him play. I'll bet he bearly (spelled wrong on purpose, so back off Mrs. Whalen, my fourth grade teacher) has to jump in order to dunk.
I'm looking forward to seeing many elementary school children this week as it is Red Ribbon week at all the schools in Texas. Red Ribbon week is the week that we all remember to 'Say No to Drugs.' I will be visiting seven schools this week and eight next to remind thousands of Houston children that drugs stink! I can't wait to see you boys and girls. Save some cafeteria lunch for me.
Well, I'm heading over to the game to catch a glimpse of the Great Wall. Talk to you all soon or I'll just see you at the game. GO ROCKETS!
P.S. Be Part of Something BIG!
