
Beginning with the 2003-04 season, Rockets basketball will be played in a new beautiful state-of-the-art arena that will introduce the NBA experience to a revitalized downtown Houston. The new arena is designed to hold 18,500 spectators for basketball, while accommodating 17,800 and 19,000 for hockey and concerts respectively.
With a sunken seating bowl to be located approximately 32 feet below grade and a main entrance and concourse located at street level, fans will have easy access to some of the best seats to take in sports and entertainment in all of Houston. Thanks also to excellent site lines and an ample provision of concession stands and restrooms, the new Houston Arena is sure to be one of the city's premier destinations.
