The traditional Andrew Bogut health concerns are joined this summer by David Lee coming off hip surgery, but newcomer Andre Igoudala is an excellent fit who makes the Warriors better.
Coach Mark Jackson called Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson the best shooting backcourt in history, then Curry became a breakout star of the playoffs. So no pressure or anything.
The Warriors already made a big jump last season, to fourth in shooting defense, and can be even better with Igoudala's arrival and a full season from Bogut.
Imagine the luxury of being able to move Harrison Barnes to a reserve role. The challenge is to replace the injured Festus Ezeli and free-agent departure Jarrett Jack.
After a difficult 2011-12 -- rookie season, lockout, injuries, major in-season trade -- Jackson took control in 2012-13 in personality and the system tweaks that improved the defense.

The playoff surge last season followed by acquiring Igoudala without losing much from the core of the roster has moved the Warriors into the conversation for the best in the West. Not ahead of the Spurs, Thunder and Clippers in a preseason ranking, but in the conversation.

The hesitation is that Golden State must still stare down injury concerns on a daily basis until an extended stretch of good health allows a heavy sigh of exhale. Bogut. Curry. Ezeli, who is expected to miss about half the season after knee surgery. But the Warriors at full strength could be a great show.
