Frontcourt
B
The DeAndre Jordan watch continues. If the center is a consistent difference maker on defense, joining power forward Blake Griffin and newcomer Jared Dudley, the Clippers take a step forward.
Backcourt
A-
Chris Paul plus anyone is a good combination. But Paul alongside veteran shooters and scorers (J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford) will keep opponents in night sweats.
Defense
B+
Which brings us back to Jordan. Paul is the best defensive point guard in the league, Matt Barnes will make an impact, and first-round pick Reggie Bullock could contribute.
Bench
A
The enviable depth of last season will continue with the return of Crawford and Barnes and the addition of Darren Collison, again making the Clippers one the deepest teams.
Coaching
A
Getting Doc Rivers -- his credibility, his playoff success -- from the Celtics was not just the unique move of trading a coach. It was one of the top offseason moves.
Summary

This is it. Paul is signed, Griffin has the experience of three previous seasons, shooters have been added, Rivers has been added and the top trade chip the last couple years, Eric Bledsoe, has finally been dealt. The time for potential is over.
