![]() Kevin Durant is in position to claim a fourth consecutive scoring title and complete a rare 50-40-90 shooting season. Serge Ibaka is a dangerous scoring threat, especially off the pick-and-pop and has raised his average by five points.

![]() The only defense that slows Russell Westbrook is Russell Westbrook. New sixth man Kevin Martin has provided better spacing and 3-point shooting, and better-than-anticipated defense. Reggie Jackson has surprised as the backup point.

![]() They're top three in defensive field-goal percentage. They're long and quick on the perimeter, Kendrick Perkins defends the paint and is quick enough to step out on guards and Serge Ibaka provides the ultimate rim protection.

![]() Not the deepest, but OKC gets starter-type minutes and production from Martin and Nick Collison is the ultimate role player. Jackson is a developing athletic guard and newcomer Hasheem Thabeet has played pretty well.

![]() Brooks has improved calling plays out of timeouts and he deftly kept the team together after the emotional James Harden trade. He's successfully and seamlessly integrated Martin and continues to get the most out of his young stars.

Summary
Any notion that the Thunder would take a step back without Harden, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, was quickly blown out of the water. Martin's strengths complement Westbrook and Durant perhaps even better than Harden. Offensively, OKC is having a monstrous season, averaging more than 105 points a game with Durant on pace to compile one of the greatest offensive seasons the league has ever seen.
They've also become an incredibly clutch team with a steely mindset for being so young. They've been so dominant throughout games that being clutch late is rarely necessarily. They're 29-0 when leading after three quarters, 22 wins have come by at least 10 points and they're 18-7 against teams with records better than .500 and 21-4 against the tough Western Conference. If this team stays healthy, only the Clippers possess the total package of quickness, athleticism and depth to give the Thunder a run for Western Conference supremacy.
