Raptors NBA TV Program Summaries
LIVE REGULAR SEASON NBA GAMES
The cornerstone Raptors NBA TV's national coverage is a 158-game package, highlighted by 46 Thursday night Turner Network (TNT) games, 20 national Toronto Raptors simulcasts and another 92 NBA match-ups produced by NBA TV. Other game action includes the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the National Basketball Development League (NBDL).
NCAA BIG MONDAYS
Raptors NBA TV will broadcast a minimum of 44 NCAA Division I men’s basketball games on Monday nights throughout the 2004-05 college season. The package includes more than 40 different teams and six conference championship games. The schedule highlights the Maui Invitational Tournament on November 22 with quadruple-header coverage from one of the NCAA’s top pre-season tournaments.LIVE PLAYOFF GAMES
Featuring the best teams from the NBA, Raptors NBA TV will air exclusive playoff games from all four rounds of the NBA playoffs.
RAPTORS TODAY
This season, Raptors NBA TV launched its first daily news program with the October 4th debut of Raptors Today. Weekdays at 6 pm, Paul Johnson and Sherman Hamilton present all the latest, up-to-the-minute news and highlights of that day’s events surrounding the Toronto Raptors and the NBA. These 60-minute, pre- and post-game shows accompany most Toronto Raptors games. Game Day hosts Damian Goddard and Norma Wick provide viewers with commentary, statistics, opponent profiles and more. Double Dribble is back for a second season pitting journalists Eric Smith and Paul Jones up against each other in a verbal battle of wits and opinions on issues surrounding the Toronto Raptors and the NBA. Back for its fourth season, Full Court Press is a weekly, roundtable discussion with some of basketball’s most respected reporters as they debate the hoops issues of the day. HEARTBEAT
Hosted by Tanya Phillips, this weekly show takes viewers to the streets and into community centres with the Toronto Raptors basketball club and its players. Heartbeat provides fans with an inside look at the planning and execution of the events of the Raptors Foundation, as well as a glimpse into the lives of the Raptor players off the court. HOOPS
New this season to Raptors NBA TV, Hoops is a live, weekly basketball talk show which debuts November 4 at 7 pm. Every Thursday, hosts Eric Smith and Paul Jones, give fans their say as Hoops features open-line topics and guests from around the NBA. When NBA fans aren’t following the games themselves, many are keeping track of their NBA fantasy leagues. This season, Raptors NBA TV presents Virtual GM, a seven-nights-a-week, 30-minute studio show that is the ultimate guide for NBA fantasy basketball players. Hosted by fantasy hoops guru Rick Kamla, Virtual GM airs throughout the NBA season weeknights at 1am.
RAPTORS REWIND
