After an offseason that saw the Raptors retain their key free agents, "continuity" has become the key word for the reigning Atlantic Division champions as they head into 2014-15.
With training camp just around the corner, we wanted to highlight the contributions of the Raptors core that carried them to a record-setting campaign and will be relied upon so heavily to build on that success.
Patrick Patterson made his presence felt on the floor for the Raptors in 2013-14, but his impact was also felt when he couldn't suit up. The versatile forward played in 48 games for the Raptors last season -- the fewest among the team's core players -- on account of injuries including a broken nose and right ulnar collateral sprain. When healthy however, Patterson's ability to stretch the floor on offence, play tenacious pick-and-roll defence and step into the starting five seamlessly were huge assets to the Raptors frontcourt.
