Playoff Thoughts...

I've seen point guards take it upon them to lead a team but the way Chris Paul is chewing up the Spurs, one has to believe he is on the cusp of "superstardom." The stellar play of Mo Pete on defense and the Hornets look like a legit-big time ballclub after taking care of business against the Spurs.

Who's running the clock in Detroit? Was that the same guy from Atlanta? Don't blame the officials for this one. The Magic can't shoot. As was the case in the Raps series the Magic committed 19 turnovers for 22 Detroit points.

Mike D'Antoni is one popular man. What a life. If/when he leaves Phoenix and is unemployed, he picks up 8.5 million. If the Bulls or Knicks hire him he gets to keep his NBA gig. Plus, he's a very good coach.

I loved TNT's coverage and how they took the viewers inside the locker-rooms at halftime. The coaches realize the cameras are on but still it's good stuff.

Things you learn in the NBA... George Karl is 3-16 in the playoffs as head coach of the Nuggets.

Kobe gets the hardware today.

Now that the season is over will the Hawks wait to decide what's next or will they be proactive?

The University of Kentucky offered a basketball scholarship to a young man that is currently playing on his grade eight school team in California.

Got to love what the Jays pitching staff is doing. Nasty stuff.

Got to love Matt Stairs.

Got to give props to the Cards. They've started the season as an after thought behind the Cubs and Brewers and are playing well.

Ervin Santana...yes THAT Ervin Santana is now 6-0. His Angel teammate Joe Saunders has matched that start as well.
