TORONTO (CP) - The Toronto Raptors still have one pre-season game and 10 days left left before opening the regular season on Oct. 28 - time coach Jay Triano says his team plans to maximize to the fullest.

The Celtics had 21 points from Kevin Garnett and 20 from Ray Allen in a 101-82 pre-season victory over Toronto on Sunday afternoon.

``Due to the injuries and the late start of training camp we're just over a half game ready,'' Triano said. ``And you can see it. Physically we can't do it and when the physical part of it goes the mental part of it goes.''

The Celtics moved to 5-1 in pre-season, whiled Toronto dropped to 2-5 before a crowd 13,604 at the Air Canada Centre.

The Raptors had 16 points from Hedo Turkoglu and 15 points from Chris Bosh, who led the game with eight rebounds.

Andrea Bargnani had 13 points before fouling out with 44.9 seconds left in the third quarter.

``We're not thinking as far as our coverages are concerned,'' Triano said. ``That's to be expected for a couple of guys and for some of the others it's a new system, and we just have to keep pounding away over the next 10 days.

``If we win ugly right now what are we going to get from it? They're going to come in feeling all good tomorrow, I don't want them feeling good. I want them coming in ready to practice.''

The Raptors final pre-season game is on Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D., and then they open the season at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

``It says here 2-5,'' Triano said. ``But it's really 0-0. These don't count until one more.''

Turkoglu, who missed the first four pre-season games after helping Turkey qualify in September for the 2010 FIBA world championships, played 27:33 minutes on Sunday.

``I'm feeling much better every day,'' said Turkoglu. ``Today, I played a little bit more and I was feeling good after. We are getting close to the start of the season. We have 10 days and, hopefully, I will get myself in the best shape and ready to go.``

Bosh missed the first pre-season game because of a strained hamstring and was limited to 11 minutes in his the second game. Sunday he was up to 31:05 minutes.

``I think this is exactly what we expected to happen as far as our minutes played,'' Triano said. ``We pushed guys in the third quarter, and 31 minutes for Bosh right now is probably a little bit high. But we have to find a way to get that up another eight minutes.

``We have 10 days from today and one more game to get that done. Hedo struggled a little bit as far as his was wind was concerned but we tried to play him enough and push him.''

Point guard Jose Calderon had four points and four assists in 26:51 minutes.

``Every night we're going to be a little better,'' Calderon said. ``We competed against a really good team for three quarters. Even when they were up it was only 10 points. We were there with a lot of mistakes on offence and defence.''

The Celtics led 33-23 after the first quarter with Allen scoring 12 points and Garnett 11.

The Raptors outscored the Celtics in the second quarter 26-21 to cut the lead to 55-49 at the half. Allen finished the half with 14 points to exceed his previous high for this pre-season of 13. Garnett led Boston at the half with 15.

Bosh led Toronto at the half with 13 and Andrea Bargnani had 11.

The Raptors scored the first five points of the third quarter to tie the game 54-54. But the Celtics led 73-63 at the end of three quarters.

Triano said that he approaches pre-season games like a part of training camp.

``We`re just going to keep working on the things that we have been,'' he said. ``We told the players from Day 1, if it doesn't work we're just going to do it better we're not going to change it. We're committed to doing it. We're just going to keep working on it.''

Notes: Guard Marcus Banks missed the game because of the flu. ...Forward Reggie Evans is still listed as day to day with a sprained left foot. ...Guard-forward Antoine Wright is still out with an injured right knee.
