“In Search of LeBron James” an original Raptors NBA TV production will be broadcast exclusively on the channel, Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. (Eastern Time) / 9 p.m. (Pacific Time).

Associate producer Sharon Kum was assigned to go from Toronto to Akron, Ohio in search of the real story behind the nation’s most talked about amateur athlete. James’ rise to become the expected number-one overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft is retold through interviews with coaches, classmates, friends, local reporters and the basketball-sensation himself.

“The attention surrounding LeBron James has been unprecedented. From the covers of Sports Illustrated and ESPN Magazine to nightly highlights on national sports channels, the media and the public all want to know if he is the next NBA superstar,” said John Shannon, executive producer, Raptors NBA TV.

“Our goal was to get to LeBron without all the fanfare. This special gives viewers a unique review of this talented young athlete.”

An exclusive Canadian broadcast of the McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Classic follows the James special, providing Raptors NBA TV viewers with a review of all the top American high school players, including James, at 10 p.m. (ET)/ 10 p.m. (PT). The game will be shown on a tape delay basis.
